The document describes a student project to reverse engineer a multipurpose agricultural machine. A group of 4 students observed the machine and separated it into sections like the main frame, thresher, cutter, and pulleys. They took detailed measurements and created a CAD model of each section in SOLIDWORKS. The major sections of the machine framework and how it functions are shown in diagrams. The project plan was mostly followed except for removing two unnecessary sections and rectifying irregular movement in the model. Further work will include calculating pulley ratios and motor RPM, replacing removed sections, and performing Ansys simulation.

Engineering- Saswati Routray Rahul Kumar Bastia Ritesh Swain Srijit Shuvam Nayak Plan of Action First the machine was thoroughly observed and it’s necessity was determined. After observations we segregated the machine into different sections according to what function of purpose it fullfills such as- 1. The main frame 2. A shredder 3. A cutter 4. A differential and 5. Pulleys 6. A thresher 7. A slicer Detailed measurements were taken of each part of each section for preparing CAD model and Sketches. A CAD model of each section was prepared and assembled using SOLIDWORKS software and it’s motion was studied. Parts of Machine
Main Frame
Motor Thresher
Cutter with Pulley & Differential
Flow of Work The major part of the project went according to the plan of action. 2 sections were considered unimportant for the project and therefore removed. Instead the team planned to replace the unimportant sections with something usefull. The 2 sections removed were The shredder The slicer The CAD model was successfully prepared.
Due to error in measurement there was a irregular movement in the system
which was not desired therefore it was rectified after certain change in measurements in the Main Frame Assembly. The motion of the system was flawlessly studied. Soliworks sketches of different sections were also prepared using Drawing feature. Further advancement For further advancement of the project we will calculate the ratio of the pulleys along with the RPM of motor. And we will prepare sketches of different sections on A1 sized chart paper using Machine Drawing techniques. We will also try to find an appropriate replacement for the removed sections from the project. Ansys simulation and analysis will be carried out for real world applications.
