ACTIVITY CENTER
Recreational activities and social gatherings require huge spaces in order to
accommodate big crowds; the activity center shall have the following spaces to serve
different events:
Activity Area – Main activity space for huge gatherings or physical activities such as
dance classes or Zumba classes
Function Halls – Smaller multi-use halls for different programs conducted by the center
such as trainings and lectures
Mini-clinic - Small-scale clinic intended only for basic health services monitoring for
walk-in clients
Arts & Crafts Studio – senior citizens can take up basic arts and crafts activities such as
painting, drawing, clay modelling, knitting, and etc

The space requirements for the home for the elderly is based on the proposed
Bahay Kalinga or Haven for the Elderly of the city Senior Citizen Assistance Program
(SCAP)/Office for Senior Citizen Affairs.
One (1) story consisting of:
 10 bedrooms with 6 bed capacity and comfort rooms
 2 single rooms with comfort rooms for house parents
 Living room
 Kitchen
 Activity room
 Comfort room for guests
 Guard house
