Abstract
The aim of this study was to reach the parameters of a schematic model for
community-based solidarity work in slum areas, this main aim is divided into
several sub-goals :
- To measure the ability of slum dwellers to build local knowledge.
- To measure the ability of slum-dwellers to make decisions relevant to their
communities.
-To measure the ability of slum dwellers to practice social accounting.
In order to achieve these objectives, a community solidarity action barometer was
constructed, which was distributed to a random sample of about 258 persons of
the population of the fayoum district of " AL Saha ".
The study concluded that the importance of improving the services provided to the
residents of AL Saha area in order to guarantee their right to development, The
importance of the participation of the residents of Al Saha area in the
development of their region is a decisive variable in the success of development
planning processes, as well as the importance of devoting creative efforts and
resources to combat poverty, Also, it is imperative to participate in various
societies.
