Mexican independence

On September 16, 1810, a social revolution broke out
from which our country would be born as an
independent, free and sovereign Nation.

27de desde 1821


On September 27, 1821, the Independence of
Mexico culminated, after an eleven-year war that
was a great popular revolution to get rid of
Spanish rule.

1824
Political Constitution of 1824 in which it was
established that Mexico would be a federal
Republic.

The period of our history known as the War of Independence
begins (strictly speaking) at dawn on September 16, 1810, when
Father Miguel Hidalgo gives the so-called “Grito de Dolores” and
ends on September 27, 1821 (11 years later ) with the triumphal
entry of the Trigarante Army, led by Agustín de Iturbide and
Vicente Guerrero, to a jubilant Mexico City.

1813
During this period, José María Morelos y Pavón enters
the scene. This one goes from the beginning of 1811
until the taking of the Fort of San Diego in Acapulco (in
August of 1813).

political and social process resolved with arms, which
put an end to Spanish rule in most of the territories of
New Spain and began the First Mexican Empire
