up maximum possible real time information after conducting

intensive field trial of Multipurpose Water Bottle for 15 days. On

nine parameters the field trial of water bottle has been conducted in

companies and Battalion HQ of 211 BN. The parameters set by Board

for field trial are as follows:-

1. Whether water filled in bottle smells after sometime or not.

2. How long water remains at same temperature after it is filled

in the bottle?

3. Do bottles have leakage?

4. Weight of empty and filled bottle.

5. Does the taste of water change over the period after it is

filled?

6. What are the drawbacks and specialities in this bottle as

compared to the old water bottles available in the unit?

7. Use of water bottle during operations.

8. Checking of filled bottles after making it to fall on the

ground.

9. Is there any need to change the capacity of bottle?

The feedback of companies has been taken into account

after the field trial by them vis a vis the findings of the board after

the field trial at battalion hq. After analysing the field trials board

reaches at following conclusions:-

1. After keeping water for a certain time it has little smell of the

material with the help of which the water bottle has been

manufactured.

2. The temperature of water remains as it is for 2 to 3 hours.

3. Bottle does not have leakage.

4. The weight of empty bottle is 0.330 Kg and the filled one is

1.340 Kg.

5. The water filled in bottle tastes little different.

6. Comparison of this bottle with the old bottle available in the

force:-

a) This Bottle is lighter in weight.

b) As compared to old bottle it smells less.

c) Temperature of water is maintained for longer duration as

compared to old bottle.

d) It is very flexible and easy to carry. Due to its flexibility, It is

less breakable as compared to old bottles. It is more prone

to cut if falls on thorn or comes in contact with sharp edge

material or spike.

7. The water bottle is very handy and can be kept in the backpack.

Due to its flexibility it does not hurt the back. During long range

ops quantity of water required is more whereas it contains one

litre of water.

8. After falling from certain height it remains as it is due to its

flexible body.

9. The capacity of bottle is only one Litre which is required to be

increased to 2 litres.
