Assessment 1
Teacher's Obligation
It is said in Section 16, every teacher shall:
1. The right to be free from compulsory assignments not related to their duties as
defined in their appointments or employment contracts, unless compensated therefor,
conformably to existing law.
4. Teachers shall be accorded the opportunity to choose alternative career lines either
in school administration, in classroom teaching, or others, for purposes of career
advancement.
Assessment 2
Study the objectives of elementary, secondary, tertiary, and non-formal education (alternative learning
system): You are accorded the opportunity to choose an alternative path in school administration, in classroom
teaching, or others, for job enrichment and advancement. In which level would you choose to teach and why?
(15pts)
For me, personally, as I am already taking up a degree in Second Education, will choose Secondary
Education as the path for job enrichment and advancement. I believe that I decided to choose this level to teach
because this is the time where students will be matured and understand with an open mind, but still be creative
and moldable to become their very own persona and to become a promising part of the society. I have this view
of the teens, the youth, is the time where memorable things occur. This is the part of life where most people
either make or break their future, and I would like to be a part of the children's lives and lead them to a path
where they will prosper and grow.
This is coming from my experiences as a high school student. It was the most beautiful moment of my
life. Not because it gave me good memories, no. I experienced both good and bad things, and as much as I hate
looking back at the bad moments, I continue to think of the lessons that it gave me and I engraved it in my mind
and in my heart, so when I encounter another in the future, I would know what to do.
Being an elementary, tertiary or a special education teacher would be good, too, but I'd like to think
that when I become a teacher (hoping to be a good one, of course) my students will remember me and the things
that I've taught them and it would be enough to know that I became a part of their lives.
