Changing Solid to Liquid

I. Objectives: At the end of the activity, the learner should be able to:
 describe the process of changing solid to liquid using heat; and
 explain how solid changed to liquid using heat.

II. Materials:
Unused candle, candle bits, spoon, gloves

III. Procedure:
1. Use gloves for handling the spoon. Put candle bits on the spoon surface. Set aside.
2. Light the unused candle. Let it stand in a safe holder (e.g. saucer, glass cup)
3. Hold the spoonful of candle bits and let it heat using the lighted candle.
4. Observe what happens.
