Mary and Joseph had to bring Baby Jesus to the temple.

Inside the temple, they saw two old people who were waiting

for the Savior.

An old man named Simeon went to them and held the

Baby in his arms. Simeon was so happy to see the Savior he

had long been praying for. Now that God answered his prayer,

Simeon was ready to die. Simeon blessed Joseph and Mary. He

also told of the wonderful things the Savior would do.

Also, an old widow named Anna saw Jesus. She also

spoke of Jesus as the Savior whom everybody was waiting for.

Anna had been in the temple since her husband died. She

prayed all day so that one day she could see the Savior. And

now, she was able to see Him!

Joseph and Mary were so happy with what they heard.

They knew their Son Jesus was to be the Savior of the world.

And Jesus grew in wisdom and in strength.

God has plans for children like you. God will also help you

gain wisdom so you can grow and fulfill His plans for your life.
