LOGO
Color
The GC logo should be displayed in our GC green as
defined below:

If necessary due to the nature of the medium, gray and


black may be used.

Replace GC green with 100% black.

Rules
When resizing the logo, the proportions cannot be
changed. It must be kept in the same 1:1 ratio.

Background
Ideally, the logo should always be placed on a white
background to provide sufficient attention. If this is not
possible, make the background as passive as possible.

As previously mentioned, GC green is defined as:

For general text usage, GC green should be used a the


paragraph headline color while the following GC gray

FONTS & TYPOGRAPHY
Standard Font
Avenir is to be used in all areas of communication and
written media. The Avenir font family is as follows:

• Avenir 35 Light: Used for basic text areas.
• Avenir 55 Roman: Used for genereal text.
• Avenir 85 Heavy: Used when general bold text is

As mentioned previously, GC Green should be used in
paragraph headlines, while the gray as defined in the
colors sections of the manual should be used for basic text.

on all communication where one is utilized.

Common Elements
Required elements on collateral and advertising is as
follows:

GC Logo
GC Chop Line

Both should be GC Green.

General Locations & Placement


For all applications, the GC logo and GC chop line
should run horizontally across the top of the page.

These guidelines should be followed as well for any full


page or half page communication that is distributed
digitally.

ELEMENT PLACEMENTS
Live Area
The default live area should be 0.25 inches.

GC Chop Line
The GC chop line height should be 8% of the width of
the document. In cases where a spread is utilized, divide
the spread in half, then apply the calculation. Exceptions
are allowed when needed. The GC chop line should be
placed directly within the live area on the X and Y axis on
the right side.

GC Logo
The GC logo width should be 18% of the width of the
document. In cases where a spread is utilized, divide the
spread in half, then apply the calculation.

Exceptions are allowed when needed, for example for


narrow items such as pull up banners for conventions.

For placement on full page applications, the logo should


be applied using the following calculation: Live area.

For placement on half page applications, the logo should


appear centered and at least its own height away from
the edge of the page and within the live area.

COLLATERAL LAYOUT SPECIFICS
General print layout specifics.

This area is be the content /
