Trainee Entry Requirements: Trainees or students wishing to gain entry into this course should

E. TRAINING FACILITIES
The Computer Systems Service Workshop must be in an infrastructure facility that is generally accepted to industry
standards and practice. Based on class size of minimum of 25 student/trainees the space requirements for the
teaching/ learning and circulation areas are as follows

MODULE DESCRIPTION : This unit covers the outcomes required in installing and configuring desktop and workstation
computers systems. It consists of competencies to assemble computer hardware, install
operating system and drivers for peripherals/devices, and install application software as well
as to conduct testing and documentation.
NOMINAL DURATION : 40 hours
SUMMARY OF LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon completion of this module, the trainee/student must be able to:
MODULE DESCRIPTION : This unit covers the outcomes required in setting-up computers networks for LANs and
small-office home-office (SOHO) systems. It consists of competencies to install
network cables, set network configuration, set router/Wi-Fi/ wireless access
point/repeater configuration as well as to inspect and test the configured computer
networks.
NOMINAL DURATION : 40 hours

Upon completion of this module, the trainee/student must be able to:
