Essence of Demo teaching:

Demo teaching is the rehearsal on how an activity will be delivered. It provides the
opportunity to observe and experience how the actual teaching will be conducted. It is
very important especially to students because it promotes active involvement by students
and also enhances students' attention level. It may also be beneficial to include elements
of cooperative learning in demonstration lessons, in order to improve students'
understanding of what is taught and how will it be when you are the one conducting the
activity.

Demo teachings grant you exposure to the inner workings of your chosen degree-
teaching. They let you behind the scenes to get a taste for the specific knowledge and
everyday practices that every job requires. You get the benefit of seeing trained
professionals complete tasks you might otherwise have only read about, and you’ll get a
chance to try tasks out yourself—the extent to which you do will depend on your field.  It
also identifies the areas excellence and weakness.

Exposure to demonstrations improves students' perceptions of their learning efficiency

and the importance of the subject and also enhances the students' achievements and
their understanding to the real world concepts.

Theory and practice are very different things. It gradually introduces you to the real job
experience - not just what was in your college textbooks. Students will get a chance to
explore the strategies and methods that work best for you and your students. Not every
teacher, for example, is good at playing games as learning activities, while others excel at
it. Students also get experience in classroom management, an integral part of teaching.

Teacher plays an important part as it gives the freedom to explore learner’s own style,
while being another set of eyes and ears to help you evaluate what went well and what
didn’t. They will help you reflect on your lesson, as you must continue to do throughout
your career.

Demonstrations encourage generalization because they promote active involvement by

students and also enhance students' attention level. It may also be beneficial to include
elements of cooperative learning in demonstration lessons, in order to improve students'
understanding of what is taught.
