Identify Hazards and Risks
Hazards is anything that may cause harm, loss or danger. A Hazard is said to be
present when there is an object, or a situation present that may have an adverse
effect on the surrounding.
Risks can be taken as chance or probability that harm may occur. There are certain
situations, and the circumstances and sometimes the severity of the harm is passed
as a statement. We can see that we are surrounded by risks in our everyday lives.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) relates to health, safety, and welfare issues in
the workplace. OHS includes the laws, standards, and programs that are aimed at
making the workplace better for workers, along with co-workers, family members,
customers, and other stakeholders.
