“Why you should learn French as a third language”

Do you think that a third language is important to you? Someone would say YES
someone would say NO. I want to tell you that learning a third language gives us an
advantage in many ways such as studying or working. In addition, it also helps you to
progress in your life.
Besides English and Thai language, which language should be learned as a third
language? Have you ever thought about this? Now I have some language that I want you to
learn as a third language. It is French. I want you to open your mind learning French because
French has advantage than you think.

Imagine that only English is not enough

-English is one of the great global languages of the 21st century, but it will only take us
so far. Even though it is the third most common native language (after Mandarin Chinese
and Spanish), only 6% of the world’s population speaks English as a first language and 75%
of the world’s population doesn’t speak any English.
-However, we might conceptualize the relative significance and likely future of global
studies, we should be able to agree that language is the key for global understanding as well
as for communication. We think and imagine in language, and language conveys the most
fundamental elements of our personal, familial and cultural being. Language is how we
connect with each other.
And this is the important thing that I want to tell you
if you don’t learn a new language, you will have an Alzheimer's
There is another study conducted in Sweden which helped visualize the benefits of
learning a new language have on the brain. The researchers conducted the study on two
groups of scholars: one that studied languages and another that studied proportionately
rigorous non-linguistic subjects. The MRI scans showed that the brains of the participants
studying languages increased in size, while the brain sizes of the other group remained the
same.
according to Babbel Magazine. Approximately 300 million people on the five continents
speak French, which is the official language of 29 countries, second only to English. It’s also
one of the world’s fastest growing languages,
Can you see that……
French is second only to English for the number of countries where it has official status
& French is still a working language of the UN, the EU, and dozens of international
organizations including the International Red Cross committee, International Labor
Organization, Amnesty International, and Doctors without Borders. Francophone countries
form an important bloc in the UN, the EU, the African Union, and the Arab League.

From all that I have been said, I would like to present about why you should learn French.
Let’s get started!!!!!!!
1. Learning French makes you learn other languages easier
Did you know that roughly 45 percent of the English vocabulary comes from France,
including a whopping 50,000 English words with French origins? The takeaway? Not only is
learning French be relatively easy for English speakers, but it can also help hone the English-
speaking skills of native and non-native speakers alike. But that’s not all. Learning French
also makes it easier to learn other Romance languages, as well, including Spanish, Italian,
Portuguese and Romanian.

2. You’ll be able to communicate while traveling -- and not just in France.

Of course, learning French will help you communicate better in France. And given France’s
status as the world’s premier tourist destination, this is a major boon. Additionally, it will
help you communicate in other French-speaking countries, including everywhere from
Belgium, Burundi and Burkina Faso to Madagascar, Mali, and Monaco.
3. French speakers are in great demand internationally.
French is an obvious choice for students aiming for careers in diplomacy or international
politics. And if you’re considering an international career, the ability to speak French is a
major selling point in both France and other French-speaking parts of the world, as well as
with French companies and those that do business with them.
French is so increasingly pervasive, in fact, that one study by investment bank Natixis
suggests that as many as 750 million people may speak French by the year 2050, positioning
it with the potential to become “the language of the future.”

4. French language skills open the door to France’s higher education institutes.
France is home to some of the world’s best higher education institutions known for
everything from undergraduate studies to business schools. While many of these offer
English language programming, there’s no more immersive experience than studying in the
native language of your international study destination.

5. It offers direct access to France’s inimitable culture.

France has been dubbed the “cultural capital of Europe,” and with good reason: from art
and architecture to cinema and cuisine, France is a one-of-a-kind cultural extravaganza.

6. It’s a language of love (and reason).

We’ve all heard that French is the language of love. This is more than just a saying; it’s
backed by data. Explains The Connexion, “Google says [French] is the language in which
people are most likely to use romantic expressions. [...] It identified phrases in French,
English, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian most frequently translated into other
languages.

Imagine that again….

If you learn French as a third language today, you will smarter than before and it will reduce
the risk of Alzheimer's disease, the future in work and life will better than today. Imagine
that if you are in Thailand, it hard to progress in your life but if you study a new language
like French, your life will progress in many ways definitely.

finally
