SDG PROGRESS REPORT 2020
Introduction
This school year is another year of a challenging year because of the
COVID-19 Pandemic, it made us realized that health is the most important
essential needs a human can have and health must be prioritize than
anything else.

But this pandemic will not hinder us to continue giving learner’s way of
learning the Science subject as one of the main goals of Mabuhay National
Science Teachers is that the learners will understand the basic concepts,
principles and scientific skills of our students that will able to help them
improve their lives as an individual most especially in this pandemic and that
would make them more driven, enthusiastic and competitive to the new
normal environment that we are into.

Furthermore, our department continually entices the learners to uphold


their advocacy in learning Science and to have more interest while learning
even in a distance learning modality kind of learning, that will lead to learner’s
immense interest in the exciting and amazing world of Science in the new
normal way.

OBJECTIVES:
·To help learners understand the basic concepts, principles and
scientific skills of our students in the new normal way of learning
·To entice the learners to uphold their advocacy in learning Science
·To have the learners immense interest while learning Science
subject even in a distance learning modality.
To encourage learners to be part of different environmental
activities in school and in the community.

ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKINGS/
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In this new normal way of learning aside from the printed SLMs to be given
to the students every week we also have our way of giving instructions to
students and lesson for those who can access the internet through online class
and students monitoring. In this way we can still encourage the learners to have
fun in learning Science in their own pace and in the comfort of their homes.

As we conducted at least 30 to 40 minutes instructions and lessons with


some follow up questions regarding to the science topic that the learners find it
hard to understand. With the help of the technology the teachers will have an
innovative way of delivering their lessons to the learners as well as the learners
can become more keen and immense in learning Science even in a new normal
way of learning.

The Department of Science and


Technology (DOST) in partnership with

PANAHON. As we actively participated to
the said event, as they discussed the
different programs and institutions that
empowered the importance of different
activities and advocacies related to
Science and Technology. It was indeed a
fun field with lots of learnings and
enjoyable games type of webinar with
different well renowned speakers from
different part of the Philippines.

The NSTW highlights the significant


contributions of science and technology to
national development and has become a
platform for heralding S&T advocacy in the
country.

PROBLEMS MET
Learners are late on submitting their modules due to their
excuse that they are working.
Some answer sheets does not have any answers.
Some of the students rely on the answer key at the back of
the modules
Every time we were about to schedule an online class most
of the students having some trouble time to connect on
the internet due to their no signal location

INTERVENTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS


Follow up learners thru facebook messenger or test
message.
Call the attention of the parents of guardians regarding to
this matter.
Conduct home visitation for remedial to those students
who are struggling in answering the modules.
Craft a contextualized activity sheets that will help the
learners easily understand the topic of the lesson.
Conduct peer mentoring to teachers thru Lac Session for
more enhancement in teaching the subject.
Encourage students to participate in all activities in
school that will help them get involve in their studies.
