Title: Diving Through the Role of Parents of Grade 9 Students as Facilitators of

Learning at Home: A Basis for Intervention

Statement of the Problem


The primary purpose of this narrative study is to describe the role of parents of
Grade 9 students as facilitators of learning at home under the modular distance learning
at Don Felix T. Lacson Memorial National High School for the school year 2022-2023.
At this stage in the research, the role of parents as teachers at home will be defined as
their involvement in assuring the learning of their students in a modular distance
modality in learning.
Specifically, this study will answer the following questions:
1. How do parents contribute to the acquisition of basic learning competencies of
learners as facilitators of learning at home?
2. What are the strengths and weaknesses of parents as facilitators of learning at
home?
3. What support systems are needed by parents from the school to provide learning
assistance to their children?

competencies at home?

at home?

3b. What support system do you need from the school in order to provide learning
assistance to your children?
