FINAL ASSEMBLY REPORT

CUSTOMER: NATIONAL INTERNATIONAL
EQUIPMENT: EMSCO FB-1600 MUD PUMP
TPES JOB NUMBER: 3395
DATE: FEBRUARY 12, 2007

Emsco FB-1600 Triplex Mud Pump was transported to Tripoint Energy Services for
inspection and repair. Upon arrival of the pump, Tripoint proceeded to conduct and document a
thorough tear down and inspection of the equipment. Once the equipment was completely
disassembled all necessary parts were cleaned, sand blasted, and staged for a 3rd party
Magnetic Particle Inspection. All required parts were inspected and staged for paint or repair
depending on whether relevant indications were discovered. All parts that were non-repairable
were replaced and documented in the scope of work. Tripoint also conducted dimensional
analysis of all eccentric journals, bearing boxes, and recorded all bearing clearances. Once TDI
was completed, the fluid modules were sent out for repair, all TDI documentation was assessed,
and the parts were staged for reassembly.
Once TDI was completed Tripoint Energy began assembly of the FB-1600 Mud Pump.
Tripoint provided and installed all new seals, gaskets, bearings, extension rods, crosshead pins,
one new pinion bearing carrier and new gear set. Upon completion of the mud pump gear end,
the repaired modules and pulsation dampener were mounted and the FB-1600 pump was
installed on a TPE master skid with new sheaves, belts, guards, and motor jacking alignment
system.
All repairs were made that were specified in the Tripoint Scope of Work and entire Pump
was painted according to Nabors International’s paint requirements. Upon projects competition,
the pump was tested and approved for release by Tripoint Operations Manager and pump was
loaded and transported to Nabors International.

MUD PUMP
FULL DISASSEMBLY INSPECTION (FDI)
NOTE: The basic pump is comprised of a power end and a fluid end. The power end contains the shaft assemblies,
connecting rods, diaphragms, etc. The fluid end contains the fluid chambers, suction manifold, discharge manifold,
valves, seats, pistons, liners, etc.
To determine the left-hand side from the right-hand side of the pump stand at the power end looking toward the fluid
end. The fluid chambers are also designated from this same position – the No. 1 fluid chamber is on the left-hand
side, the No. 2 chamber is in the center and the No. 3 chamber is on the right-hand side.

Some items may not be listed or might be referred to by some other description depending on the make and type
pump. In such cases write in the necessary information where applicable.

Good, Fair and Replace/Repair are used throughout the scopes to describe condition of components. The defination
and action for these are as follow:
GOOD: Like new and no signs of appreciable wear, fit for service as is.
FAIR: Some wear apparent but part looks OK for continued use, must be verified by supervisor
or customer representative if possible photographed for file.
REPLACE/ REPAIR: Component not fit for use as is, must be replaced or repaired prior to going back into
service, must be verified by supervisor or customer representative if possible
photographed for file.
