    1.0 Vide Railway Board letter referred at (i) above, in 31 st MSG held at
    Somnath in WR on 8 & 9 November, 2019, Railway Board recommended
    in item no. 31.10 of 31st MSG that “Galvanised Bond with graphite
    grease should be tried in the field”. The trial should be done by SER on a
    representative section and feedback should be sent to RDSO/TI within
    three month from issue of minutes referred above.

    2.0 Vide SER letter reference ii) above, SER has informed that field trial
    for Galvanized/MS bond with graphite grease has been carried out in KGP
    division of SER & the result of field trial is found satisfactory.

    3.0 In view of para 2.0 above, you are advised to use stranded
    Galvanized steel bond (flexible)/MS flat Bond with graphite grease to
    reduce the contact resistance between bond and rail at bolted joint.

    4.0 This is issued with the approval of competent authority.
