COMMUNICATION GOALS:

a. The student is able to write and say sentences using comparative adjectives in a correct way.
b. The student is able to pronounce words correctly by stressing and contrasting them.
c. The student is able to use the words because, because of, so, and that’s why to express orally and written reasons and results appropriately.

1. Comparative adjectives. – Page 205 & 206.
2. Emphatic and contrastive stress. – Page 209 & 210.

CLOSING ACTIVITIES
today’s class in order to find possible solutions in the

2. Give students the opportunity to express their points of
view about today’s class by expressing what they would
like to learn, things to improve, and some suggested
activities for next class. (15 min)
HOMEWORK
Study the previous verbs and the new ten verbs given in
today’s class; these verbs will be asked by your teacher in
the next encounter. Write a paragraph explaining the reasons
and result of your favorite sport. You have to bring it in a
loose leaf paper and read it aloud in front of your classmates.
Pronunciation, emphatic and contrastive stress will be
checked. (10 min)

4. Look at the list. With a partner, discuss which sports she

is going to watch and which sports she isn't going to
watch. Explain her reasons. Write at least six sentences.
