• Development of structurally robust wind turbine systems for heavy duty
applications using locally sourced materials
• Development of Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) systems for rehabilitation of
aging concrete and steel infrastructure
• Fundamental study on chemistry and development of cost-effective admixtures for
achieving ultra-high strength concretes
• Use of advanced open source electronic sensors and algorithms (such as Arduino)
in monitoring structural responses, such as cracks, stresses, strains, displacement,
etc.
