In recent years there has been a surge in the popularity of extreme travel to remote locations.
What is the attraction of such experiences?
How do they compare to more traditional holidays or types of travel?
Write at least 250 words.

1. Check you have structured your response with a clear introduction and conclusion, topic sentences + supporting
information for body paragraphs. You’ll need to make sure that you have sufficient supporting information like
examples or explanations for both the first part of the questions and the second part
Coherence and cohesion: You need to make effective use of paragraphs and have good overall progression in your
essay to score a 6. Task achievement: You need to draw clear, relevant conclusion to score a 6. Plan how you will
structure your essay before you start writing.

Lexical (=vocabulary) range and Grammatical range and accuracy are assessment criteria for all parts of the IELTS
Speaking and Writing tests. To score a 6 for these criteria, you need to show you can use a reasonable range of
vocabulary appropriately, and you can write using more complex sentence.
