1.1. Introduction of Project:
Group project is conducted by group no 06 of FYMBA Students and for the same
they have selected Arihant Auto Industries on 19th April 2022.The main objective behind the
visit was to know about how various activities related to Production, Quality, Finance which
are carried out in company. As soon as we reached the company, we were guided by Mr.
Santosh Ubale to different departments where orientation of company was given by heads of
production department about history and how company was established.

The group project would start with the background and introduction along with
organisational culture of Arihant Auto Industries. It was established in 2004 and has made its
name for itself in the list of top service providers of in India and is listed in Trade India's list
of verified companies offering wide array etc.

1.2. Objective of the Study:

1. To study functioning of Arihant Auto Industries.
2. To compare organization structure, its strategy, product, profit with their
competitor.
3. To evaluate the uniqueness of this company.

1.3 Scope of Study:

1. Study of individuals, groups and organisation/structure.
2. Interdisciplinary approach.
3. Understanding the linkage and functioning of various department.

2.1. About Company
Established in 2004, ARIHANT AUTO INDUSTRIES has made a name for itself in
the list of top service providers in India. ARIHANT AUTO INDUSTRIES is listed in Trade
India's list of verified companies offering a wide array. Known to satisfactorily cater to the
demands of its customer base. The business came into existence in 2007 and since then it has
been a known name in its field. It is located at Plot No 120, MIDC, Satpur-422007. MIDC is
a prominent landmark in the area and this establishment is in close proximity to the same. It
has earned stamps like Jd Verified, Jd Pay substantiating the credentials of the business. The
business strives to make for a positive experience through its offerings. The accepted modes
of payment such as Cash, Cheques, and Credit Card make every business transaction easy
and seamless, contributing to making the entire process even more effective. It is this belief
that has led the business to build long-term relationships. Ensuring a positive customer
experience, making available goods and/or services that are of top-notch quality is given
prime importance. This have a wide range of product offerings and the product/catalogue list

2.4. Product

CNC Machined components

Engine Spline Shaft

Splines are ridges or teeth on a drive shaft that matches with grooves in a mating

piece and transfer torque to it, maintaining the angular correspondence between them. For
instance, a gear mounted on a shaft might use a male spline on the shaft that matches the
female spline on the gear. The splines on the pictured drive shaft match with the female
splines in the centre of the clutch plate, while the smooth tip of the axle is supported in the
pilot bearing in the flywheel. An alternative to splines is a keyway and key, though splines
provide a longer fatigue life, and can carry significantly greater torques for the size.

2.9. Functioning of Department

2.9.1. Administration Department

The Administration Department provides administrative and technical support in the

areas of human resources (HR). Admin Department is important to any company because it
works across all departments and with all kinds of work. The functions of the Admin
Department include:

 General Office Management

  Asset Management
 Transport Management and
 Security and Safety Management.

2.9.2. Quality Department:

The quality department in an organisation plan, measures, analyses report on quality.

The quality department is focused not only on products and service quality but also on the
means to achieve it. Quality departments include: Here the quality department examines each
and every single job and lot size. There are 10 jobs then randomly 5 jobs are examined and
later dispatched. It also involves testing units and determining if they are within the
specification for the final product. The purpose of testing is to determine any needs for
corrective actions in the manufacturing process. Good quality helps companies meet
consumer demands for better products.

2.9.3. Production Department

Production Department is the place where assembly or production is carried out.

Managers and production employees meet daily at this place of value creation to carefully
analyse the equipment inventory, storage, and manufacturing processes in order to identify
any disturbance or deviations in the value-added processes and to initiate countermeasures
where necessary.

Production department ensures:

 Proper routing of material on the shop floor.

 Channelize the processes and procedures on the shop floor effectively.
 Schedules material, workforce other resources and operations.
 Locate and patch any loopholes in communication.
 Monitor for deviations from standard procedures and processes and correct
them.

2.9.4. Finance Department

The finance department team provides critical information to the company's

leadership for effective management. The department provides insights and feasibility reports
that inform management's judgments that are pertinent to the company's needs. The finance

department must efficiently manage the company's equity. A finance department realizes a
company's assets investment and optimization through calculated business strategies to
maximize profits. Cash flow management ensures the adequate and timely provision of funds
for the business's operations. It is also the department's role to ensure the company pays its
debtors and suppliers on time. By analysing a company's financial statements, the finance
department evaluates economic trends, identifies its future investment and cultivates long-
term business plans.

4.1. Conclusion

The purpose of this project was to understand various departments of the company, their
functioning, organisational structure, product and process. Based on this study we can
conclude that

 Every organisation is made up of different department. Each department contributes

for running of the business
 Every department is interlinked with each other.
 Management is the continuous process.

Conclusion on overall, the objectives of the project has fulfilled.
