To the Schools Division Superintendent Representative, Ma’am Monisa P.

Maba/ Ma’am
Jocelyn R. Camiguing, to the ever active School-In-Charge of Tugar Elementary School, Mrs. Tita
R. Gawat, Teachers, Graduating Pupils, Parents, Visitors, Friends, Ladies and Gentlemen, A
pleasant morning to all.

It’s an honor to be here with you today to commemorate such an important milestone in your
lives, your graduation day! This day, I am not only congratulating you, who have just completed the
years of learning in elementary under the new teaching-learning landscape due to the Covid-19
pandemic, but I am also congratulating your proud parents who have patiently waited for this
special achievement of yours. Before I proceed, may I request you graduates to please stand and
together let us honor the people behind your success. Let us honor your proud parents and teachers.
Look at their faces, wave a hand and give your sweetest smiles. Now, let us give a big them a round
of applause. If not because of them, we are not here today, celebrating your success. Thank you, you
may now take your seats.

K-to-12 Curriculum has a purpose and that is to make you well-equipped with the knowledge
and skills needed in order for you to compete globally in the near future. It’s okay to be scared after
today’s celebration but magnaning gihapon mo, because next month, your parents will enroll you to
the next level of education, the junior high school level. Now, let me ask you graduates. Ready na
ba mo? Graduates, kinahanglan ready gyud ta kanunay. Kay sama ninyo, ako miagi usab ana nga
stage. Graduates, I am proud and honored to say nga sama ninyo, ako usa usab sa migraduate diari
nga eskwelahan. I graduated 12 years ago. This teachers of yours were once my teachers also
before. Like you, I also felt happy and excited but, I also felt fear. The fear of new routine and the
fear of being in a new school with new people. I even doubted myself if I could have the chance to
continue secondary education because I came from a poor family. Siguro kaila gyud mo sa akoang
mama ug papa. Akong mama usa ka tindera ug utanon samtang akong papa usa ka matansiro.Ug
nay halin ug ihaw, maayo, ug wala asta gyud looya. Lisud gyud kaayo me sauna. Apan, bisan pa
man sa amoang kalisud, naningkamot ko. I did my best for me to avail full academic scholarship in
High School which was sponsored by Governor Angging Q. DImaporo and luckily, I graduated
with flying colors.
After high school, I was again blessed for I was able to avail another full scholarship in
Mindanao State University-Maigo School of Arts and Trades. With God’s grace, I finished Bachelor
of Industrial Technoloy major in Drafting technology. But this was not yet the end of my student
journey. Kay bisan pobre me, hala nagsige man gihapon ko ug eskwela ui. This was because of my
ate, a multigrade teacher in Upper Tugar Elementary School and also a full-fledged masters degree
holder, who was eager nga mokuha gyud ko ug education units ug makapareha niya, usa sab nga
maestra. Apan una, gadumili ko tungod sa akoang disability. But my ate made me realized that my
disability is not a hindrance for me to share what I have. I continue studying. Took education units
ug gisabay pa nako ang ubang vocational courses kay ingun c ate na pud, manigom ka ug kahibalo
ug certificate kay mao ra nay bala nimo inig pangapply.

I took the challenge bisan pa man lisud. I put God as the center of everthing. Naningkamot
ko pag-ayo inubanan sa akoang dakong pagtuo sa Ginoo. Thank God I passed the Licensure
Examination for Teachers last March 11, 2022. My heart was so happy seeing the smiles of my
parents and siblings. Every time I see their smiles, I see a million of reasons to be successful.
Indeed, God is so amazing. Tinuod gyud ang gikaingun pa sa Ginoo, nga Lihok tawo kay tabangan
tika. God really there to reward us if He sees we are working hard for what we prayed and aimed for
plus our Faith in Him. Wala gyuy imposible, bisan pa man pobre ta, basta maningkamot lang
inubanan sa atong dakong pagtuo sa Ginoo.

Dear graduates, success is not an end goal. It is a new ending process towards happiness and
fulfillment. Also, it changes because goals change as we grow older. With this, aim high. Focus on
your studies. Brace yourselves for the challenges and remember to learn from them. Follow your
heart’s desire, work diligently towards your goal and make everything count. When you feel lost,
just remember this. PUT GOD FIRST. Put God as the center of your daily undertakings. Everything
that I have now are by the Grace of God. It’s a gift for all the sacrifices I made. Thank you and
Congratulations!
