The Piedmont Hotel opened in 1903 in Atlanta, Georgia on Peachtree at Luckie. The leading architect was Willis F.
Denny. The Hotel was renovated from 1928 to 1929 and demolished in 1965.

Included with this item was also a paper clip that could have been added at any point up to donation.

chain with the Piedmont Hotel engravings.

The "FERT" on the coat of arms engraving on the back of the key chain is a parallel of the motto of the Italian royal house
of Savoy-Sardinia adopted by Duke Vittorio (1666-1732) believed to be a Latin accronym. Translations refer to it as
"treaty and religion bind us;" "His strength conquered Rhodes;" "His bravery preserves the state;" or "Faith is the protector
of our Kingdom."
