The zero conditional (0. típusú feltételes mondat)

If you heat water to 100 degrees, it boils. Ha a vizet 100 fokra melegítjük, felforr.
If + present simple, present simple

Törvényszerűségről van szó, ezért mindkét tagmondat egyszerű jelen időben van.

The first conditional (1. típusú feltételes mondat)

If it rains tomorrow, we’ll go to the cinema. Ha holnap esik az eső, akkor moziba
megyünk.
If + present simple, ‘will’ future (will + V1)

Jövő időre vonatkozik.

The second conditional (2. típusú feltételes mondat)

If I had a lot of money, I would travel around
the world.
If you spoke languages, you would get a
better job.
If you learnt hard, you would pass the exam.
If I were you, I would help them.
Ha sok pénzem lenne, körbe utaznám
a világot.
Ha beszélnél nyelveket, jobb munkát
kapnál.
Ha keményen tanulnál, sikerülne a
vizsgád.
A helyedben segítenék nekik.

If + V2 (past simple – unreal past), would + V1

Az ‘if’-es tagmondatban az ige 2. alakja itt feltételes jelen.

If + past perfect (had + V3), would have + V3
Mixed conditional (Vegyes feltételes mondat)
If you had learnt, you would pass the exam. Ha tanultál volna, sikerülne a
vizsgád.

If + past perfect, would + V1

If I had more money, I would have bought a car. Ha több pénzem lenne, vettem volna
egy autót.
If + V2 (unreal past), would have + V3
