Re: Demand to lift the disabled account

Gentlemen:

I write on behalf of my client, Daphne Aranilla – Portes (“client”), with cellphone

no. 09202301161 regarding the freezing of her GCash account.
 
On 10 June 2022, my client’s GCash account was frozen/disabled; therefore, she
cannot make any transaction using her GCash. It is to note that my client has an available
balance in her account amounting to Fifteen Thousand Fourteen and Fourteen Pesos (P.
15,014), which she cannot use due to the unauthorized freezing of her account. 
 
To my client’s dismay, she wrote an email to you to unfreeze her account.
However, my client was informed that a police report was filed against her, which
prompted you to freeze her account. Therefore, from such date until today, you deprived
my client of her own hard-earned money.

We would like to call your attention that the unauthorized freezing of my client’s
account for a long period of time up until this date is tantamount to deprivation of rights,
which could entitle my client to damages. It is worthy of emphasizing that your company
has no sufficient and justifiable reason to disable my client’s account for such a period of
time on the basis of a mere police report or mere baseless allegations. 

           In view of the foregoing, we are demanding you to lift the freezing of my client’s
account within five (5) days from the receipt of this letter. Should you choose not to heed
the foregoing demands within the time stipulated will constrain us to bring the appropriate
and necessary legal action against you to enforce our client’s rights without any more prior
notice to you. We shall also claim against your company interests, costs, damages,
attorney’s fees, legal expenses, and other related charges.
 
We trust that you will give this matter your utmost and preferential attention.
