season before it begins. Ross had foot surgery recently.

Before it even began, the 2022 NFL season is already ending for Kansas City Chiefs rookie
wide receiver Justyn Ross.

Ross has been placed on injured reserve, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

An undrafted free agent out of Clemson, Ross recently had foot surgery. Ross also missed the
entire 2020 college football season after undergoing surgery on his spine.

M ASKWACIS, Canada—Pope Francis visited the site of a former residential


school for indigenous Canadian children on Monday morning and
repeatedly apologized for Catholics’ role in government-sponsored “projects of
cultural destruction and forced assimilation” that he said had devastated their
communities.

“I humbly beg forgiveness for the evil committed by so many Christians against
the indigenous peoples,” the pope said, one of half a dozen ways in which he
expressed sorrow or begged for pardon in the speech, which he delivered to an
audience of indigenous leaders, elders and former residential school students as
well as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Governor General Mary Simon. His
apologies drew applause and cheers several times during the speech.

At the end of the pope’s speech, an indigenous leader placed a ceremonial


headdress on his head, which the pontiff accepted to further cheers.

The 85-year-old pope, who suffers from a torn ligament and a fracture in his right
knee, used a wheelchair throughout the event but rose briefly to greet indigenous
leaders with him on stage.
