conscious process in which people attempt to
influence the perceptions of other people. It is
important to your success not only a key component
of personal branding but it also has a direct impact
on your company and the brand you represent. It
based on the impression you leave with the people
you could get promoted, sign a new client and close
a big sale.
Techniques of impression management

It helps the formation of self identification and it
has seven impressions they are,

Self Promotion
To emphasize your best characteristics or downplay
your weaknesses are some of the effective ways of
promoting or advertising yourself. Social media
influencers are widely known for self-promotion.

They generally refer to an explanation that cushions
the consequences of a negative or unacceptable
event. For example, we may make excuses when
we’re late to work.

likable or perceptive is to flatter them. For
example, if you want an extra serving of food,
you may compliment and flatter the chef.
Favors
To do something nice for others to
receive approval or acceptance is to do
a favor. For example, you may take on
some extra work so that your coworker
can attend their child’s school play.
Association

managing information about people and
things with which one is associated.
