Clinical Field Experience B: Peer Instructional Planning Review

The instructional leader established rapport with the teacher by first building a

relationship with the teacher and getting to know them and then asked questions to gain

understanding of what the lesson was going to be about and how student knowledge would be

checked. A positive feedback the instructional leader provided to the teacher was on the energy

in the classroom and how allm students were engaged in the lesson at all times. The constructive

feedback the instructional leader gave was to have student knowledge checks more frequently

throughout the lesson to make sure students are understanding the information. One instructional

strategy that was given by the instructional leader was to have some project based learning in

their future lessons. The suggestion that I gave to improve upon her lesson was to add group

work into her future lesson. This suggestion helps to improve peer observation by giving

students the ability to work with peers and collaborate to accomplish a common goal.
