2. Reflections on Readings

Please read the following articles and list two points from each and their applicability to your context:

● My Learning Strengths: Andrew Fuller

● Neurodifferentiation article: Andrew Fuller, Vicki Hartley
● The twin foundations of leadership: Dr Simon Longstaff; The Ethics Centre

1. If people do not have strengths in working with other people, then other strengths really mean nothing
2. If we identify strengths in people, these can be capitalised on and cross fertilised across other areas to
boost chances of success.

1. Students progress at different rates, learn in different ways and come to school with a wide range of life
experiences and strengths.
2. We can utilise the research the research on brain systems and combine it with research on learning, to
help our students develop their brain systems to meet their potential

1. The most potent enemy of ethical leadership is unthinking custom and practice.
2. Requirement of ethical leaders: conscience, intuition, morality, humility, respect, dignity, discernment
3. Personality Assessment Profile

Please complete the Myers Briggs personality assessment profile using this link.

Please enter your four letter personality type: ENFJ

4. Self-Reflection: Your Leadership Style

Describe in 50-100 words how your personality type resonated with you and how you operate as a
professional.

There was much about the ENFJ that resonated with me. I have a strong capacity to empathise with people and
generally can read body language well. Often this positions me well to pick up that there are ‘issues’ building and
to then be strategic about actions to reduce these tensions. I can analyse people and situations well and can use
this information to determine suitable and effective ways forward.

True to the ENFJ profile, I can often get worn out by pulling in too many directions. I am getting better at being
able to say ‘no’ or ‘not yet’ or even delegating to other people. I find managing overbearing and aggressive
personality types difficult at times.
