Sub: -Payment of additiohaL quantum Of pension to pensioners on attainment
of 80 years of age.

During examination of a grievance on payment of additional quantum of

pension , it was observed that due to non-availability of Original PPO in PC file of

the pensioner, the payment of additional quantum of pension could not be released.
2. In this context, PCDA (P) Allahabad has issued various circulars on subject
issue in the past. All DPDOs should carry out a one-time exercise to ensure that
there is no missingnost PPO and duplicate/CTC of ppo may be called from PSA,
in case any case of missing PPO is noticed. Further wherever additional pension
cases are held up for want of ppo, DPDO should implement relevant provisions of
Govt. Orders on the subject without delay.
3. It is therefor requested to issue instructions to all 12PDOS for strict
adherence of provisions of the Government orders on the subject so that

pensioner/family pensioners should get the benefits of additional quantum of

pension. Wherever required, necessary communication should be done through
official email/phone calls. There should be no delay in additional pension cases
under any circumstances.
This issues with the approval of Jt. CGDA/Public Grievance Officer.
