THE GREAT INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM

Indian Education Systems predominantly follows the system laid by the British. Although we
can boast of having the IITs, IIMs and some of the best law and medical colleges, India’s
contribution to the world of innovation is close to none. Our education system should
therefore focus on churning out not just engineers, but also entrepreneurs, artists, scientists,
writers etc. all of whom are influential in the development of the economy.
CBSE
CBSE is behind maintaining uniformity among all the students across India. It's effectiveness
is reflected on the number of schools affiliating with it each year. It covers basic and general
knowledge required for a child to move forward in terms of education. 
ICSE

The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) was


established in the year 1958 to administer the examination conducted in
India by the Cambridge University. This council conducts the Indian
School Certificate Examination (ICSE) for Std. 10th and the Indian School
Certificate (ISC) for Std. 12th. This is a private national-level board of
education in India with English as the recommended medium of
instruction.

IGCSE
International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an
academically rigorous, internationally used, specialized, English language
curriculum which is offered to students to prepare them for International
Baccalaureate and CIE A-level. Students can apply to Foreign Universities
wherein CBSE and ICSE board is not recognized.

STATE BOARD
Every State Government imparts Primary, Secondary and Higher
Secondary Education in its respective state. Areas of Operations: Every State and
Union Territory of India

Pros
1. Favorable for parents without Transferable Jobs.

2. Easily available Textbook, Teachers.

3. Moderately loaded curriculum giving options for Students to explore more extracurricular
activities like Dancing and Sports.

4. Lower Fees.

5. More reserved seats within the state recognized colleges

NIOS National Institute of Open Schooling.

It is a Central Government's initiation and it itself is a board. It's head quarters being
situated at Noida, it functions with regional offices in all the states. Candidates
who could not complete their schooling due to various factors; those who could not
cope up with regular studies due to different reasons; those who wish to pay more
attention to sports or some performing arts opt for this system of Education.

NATA

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture NATA ENTRANCE EXAM is a National level
examination for admission to undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Architecture i.e.
(B.Arch).
The Council of Architecture (COA) conducts National Aptitude Test in Architecture
( NATA ) entrance exam to measure the aptitude of the applicant for admission to
First year of five year B.Arch Degree at all recognized institutions all over India.

JEE

Joint entrance exam or JEE is the national level exam for getting admission into the
prestigious NITs, IIITs, and IITs. JEE rank is also considered by top private colleges.

JEE Main: All the seats of NIT's, CFTI's, GFTI's except IIT's & a few other, comes under
this exam.

JEE Advance: All the seats of IIT's, IISER's and a few other will fall under this level of
exam.

NEET National Eligibility cum Entrance Test


NEET is a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely 'National Eligibility-cum-
Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses' in each academic year.

NEET has been introduced for:

Undergraduate (NEET-UG) Medical Course like MBBS, BDS etc.

Post Graduate (NEET-PG) Medical Courses like M.S, M.D etc.

NTSE

NTSE exam is the National level scholarship program by Govt. of India and most venerated exam
of India. It is not only about scholarship but a matter of great pride and honour for every student
to be recognised as the nation’s talent. The NTSE examination is conducted every year at two
levels – Stage I (State level) and Stage II (National Level). NTSE Stage I is conducted by States and
NTSE Stage II is conducted by NCERT.

NSTSE OLYMPIAD

NSTSE is a diagnostic test which helps students improve their overall learning ability and
educational performance.

Unlike other tests which may only find out how much a student knows or has
memorised, NSTSE measures how well a student has understood the concepts and
provides a detailed feedback on the same, to help him/her improve.
Thus NSTSE helps each student to know early, whether he/she has properly understood a
concept, so that immediate action can be taken to correct the aberration and pave a path
for improvement.

KVPY

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship
in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology,
Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science
courses and research career in science.

KCET

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is an offline exam conducted for admission
to the full-time Engineering, Technology, BPharma, DPharma, Agriculture courses (Farm
Science) and Veterinary courses, in the various educational institutions in the state of
Karnataka
