NEET:- The 

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test  (NEET (UG), succeeded


from All India pre-medical test is an entrance examination in India for students
who wish to study undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses
(BDS) in government or private medical colleges and dental colleges in India. The
undergraduate NEET (UG), for MBBS and BDS courses, is currently conducted by
the National Testing Agency (NTA), which provides the results to the Directorate
General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health and Family Walfare.

Exam pattern:- There are questions asked


from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.There are 45 questions from each of
the sections. A correct response gives the candidate 4 marks and 1 mark is
deducted for every wrong answer. No marks are deducted if the candidate has not
attempted a question. The total time duration is 3 hours.

JEE Mains & Advanced :- Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering


entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges
in India. It is constituted by two different examinations – JEE Mains and the JEE
Advanced.

JEE Main has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may opt for either or
both of them. Both papers contain multiple choice questions. Paper 1 is for
admission to B.E./B.Tech courses and is conducted only online. Paper-2 is for
admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses and is conducted offline only. From
January 2020 an additional Paper - 3 is being introduced for B.Planning courses
separately.
JEE Main, unlike JEE Advanced, has a fixed exam structure and is not subject to
change every year. Paper-1 is of three hours duration and consists of thirty
multiple-choice questions in each of the three subjects (PCM). 4 marks are
awarded for correct answers and 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answers.

NTSE:- The National Talent Search Examination or NTSE is a talent-based


evaluation system for students of Class X. It is based on the central and state
syllabus and can be quite intensive. As a result, many students tend to fear the
examination and not take part in it. While it is optional, there are many benefits of
clearing NTSE. About 3,00,000 students from all over the country sit for this
examination. Only 2,000 qualify to get a scholarship.
One of the best things that you receive after clearing an NTSE is
the scholarship.  Once you clear Class X, you will be looking at a different world
of different streams: Science, Finance, and the Humanities. Each one of them has
its own kind of expenses. As a student with a plan, you do not want financial
obstacles to stop you. Once you clear NTSE, you get a sum of Rs. 1250 per month
for your higher secondary studies and Rs. 2000 per month for your undergraduate
and postgraduate levels. You even get financial support in your doctorate level as
per the UGC norms.

Olympiad exams:- Olympiad Exams are conducted each year in different schools


across the country. The motive of such exams are to expose students to national as
well as international competition. Indian Talent Olympiad is one of the big
Olympiad Organization which conduct various olympiad exams.There are
important benefits of olympaid exams in student education and learning point of
view. Students can participate and appear for exams in different subjects such as
Science, Mathematics, English, Computer, Art, and so on

International Science Olympiad Exams (ISO) are mainly for those students who


want to assess their scientific aptitude and apply the same in their academic
performances. This exam takes place in different levels and is open to all school
students. All those who qualify the first level successfully are eligible to participate
in other levels too. There are several organisations that conduct such exams. These
organisations have tie-ups with various schools in the vicinity. One such
organisation is Indian Talent Olympiad that enhances academic performance of
students. Students studying from class I to class X are eligible to appear for this
exam and the duration is 65 minutes. Classes I to IV have 35 questions with a total
of 50 marks and class V to X have 50 questions with a total of 50 marks. The
question paper is divided into two sections, the first being understanding science
fundamentals and the second on logical reasoning, problem solving and analytical
skills, thus including different sections of the subject. 
International Maths Olympiad (IMO) are also very popular in most of the
schools. Parents often believe there child to be skeptical about Mathematics as a
subject. However, taking such exams and qualifying the same with flying colours
make students motivated. Thus, more and more parents must encourage their
children to participate actively in this exam. Similar to the Science Olympiad
Exam, this exam too is open for students from 1st standard to 10th standard. The
paper is divided into three sections namely, Everyday Mathematics, Mathematical
Reasoning, and Logical Reasoning. It develops love for the subject and makes it
more interesting. 

KVPY:- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a scholarship


program funded by the Department if science and tech. of the govt. of India, aimed
at encouraging students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences. It
offers scholarship and contingency grants up to the pre-Ph.D. level to selected
students. Begun in 1999, it is administered by the Indian institute of science. The
students who qualify in the KVPY Exam are eligible for a fellowship as well as
admissions into institutes like the IISc and the IISER based on additional criteria.
This exam has 3 Streams: SA (Class 11), SX (Class 12) and SB (First year BSc).
For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test (75%) and interview marks (25%) are
considered.
