Cab driver: Office cab driver speaking.

Lokesh: Oh... you have arrived.

Cab driver: Yes, i’m at your location.
Lokesh: I’m in the lift, i’ll be there in 2
minutes.

Cab driver: If you don’t mind, can i ask

you something?
Girl in cab: Sure. Ask me.
Cab driver: My niece completed her
studies last year and is looking for a
job. Can you recommend her for a job
in our company.
Girl in car: Employees cannot
recommend for a job there, but i can
refer her to attend an interview. I had
recommended my sister before, even
she wasn’t selected.
Cab driver: Ok madam.
Boy in cab: Brother, why are we in a
different route today?
Cab driver: We’ll be picking up the
newly joined employee.
Boy in cab: Ok

Kathir: Hi bro
Interviee guy 1: Hi bro
Kathir: How has been your preparation.
Interview guy 1: It’s been good.
Kathir: Bro?
Interview guy 1: Tell me bro.
Kathir: Is it your first rime attending an
interview.
Interview guy 1: No bro.
Kathir: How many times have you..?
Interview guy 1: You’re asking me how
many times in this company or ...?
Kathir: I was asking about every
interview you’ve attended.
Interview guy 1: i have lost count.
There was a time when i was nervous
whether i would get the job, but now
I’m nervous about even clearing the
first round. I’m an average student. I
got my degree after clearing arrear
after arrear. Today 400 candidates are
attending the interview of which 3 will
be selected. One candidate will
definitely have a strong
recommendation. So, with 2 spots
remaining, how can i get a job?
Interview guy 2: He’s right.
Kathir: Yes. Where are you from?
Interview guy 2: Tambaram. You?
Kathir: My native is tanjore, now l’m in
a rented house in ashok nagar with my
friend.
Interview guy 2: Then there is no
problem of your parents nagging
before every meal. Only people who
live their parents know the pain.
Kathir: You’re wrong brother. To come
from our native place and look for a job
is much worse.
Interview guy 2: The friend you
mentioned, is he attending the
interview?
Kathir: Next batch. He’s waiting in the
cabin.
Interviewer: The reason you came
here even after being rejected in 18
interviews is your hope that you might
get an opportunity yes? Where did that
hope come from?
Kathir: Can i have some water?
Kathir: The reason he asked me why i
came here even after being rejected 18
times was not to know about me or my
situation. The real reason was whether
i can distinguish myself from the 400
candidates waiting outside and the
hundreds of thousands who are not
even eligible for this interview but still
struggling for a job. If i can distinguish
myself, why would i be rejected 18
times. I have to impress the people in
front of me by pretending to be
something I’m not. Yes, I have decided
to lie. Behind every lie I tell to impress
the interviewer lies a truth. The real
answer to the question asked to me
is....
Kathir: I woke up 2 hours ago. But i
couldn’t bring myself to open my eyes.
If i did that I’ll be hungry. Then I’ll think
about eating. Then I’ll think about not
having money to buy food. Then I’ll
think about not having a job for me to
earn. Then I’ll think about not having
the talent or qualification to get a job.
Then I’ll think I’m the most useless
person in the world, why should i
even... why should I even be alive? No,
I’ll sleep for a while.

Interviewer: You have got 70 percent

marks. There are candidates who have
better marks than you. Why should i
select you instead of them?
Kathir: When you are a student, asking
your parents for money not a big deal.
But asking them for money even after
completing your studies will remind
you of being dependent on others for
every one of your needs.

Kathir: Hello grandpa.

Grandpa: Kathir!! I was thinking of
calling you.
Kathir: Tell me grandpa.
Grandpa: If we want to save your
mother’s life, the doctor says we need
to do the operation as soon as
possible.
Kathir: I have an interview tomorrow.
It’s a big company. I’ll definitely get
selected. I’ll look after the operation
cost myself.
Grandpa: How many times have you
said this before? So far, i have sent you
my monthly pension. It’s been 4
months since the doctor told us about
the operation. Even after this if I don’t
start saving for her operation, my
daughter... Thinking that I’m helping
my grandson I’m afraid I’ll lose my
daughter. Dear, I’ll save my pension
money, I’ll borrow the rest and start
preparing for the operation. Dear, from
now on at least look after your
expenses.
Kathir: This time I will be selected...I
think I’ll be selected. From now on, you
don’t have to send me money. Just
look after mother’s operation
expenses. I’ll look after mine.
Grandpa: OK dear. Kathir did you eat?
Kathir? Hello? Hello kathir?

Father: Hello lokesh.

Lokesh: Tell me pa.
Father: What are you doing? you said
you have an interview today, have you
prepared well?
Lokesh: Pa I’ve been studying for that
for a week.
Father: Then, do you have money for
food and other expenses?

Kathir: A New laptop. When did you

get it?
Lokesh: There was an offer in flipkart.
Going out and filling these application
forms are a chore, so i got one.
Kathir: I Don’t have money for food.
I’ve spent everything I had after being
very frugal. Do you have some money?
I’ll return in 2 days.
Lokesh: I don’t have much. I only get
50,000 for my expenses which is not
enough for me. Ok, I’ll give. But return
it in 2 days. Hey, tomorrow we’ll go to
the interview together. Have you
prepared?
Kathir: I was preparing but I was
hungry so I couldn’t concentrate.
That’s why I came to borrow some
money
Kathir: When someone borrows money
for a meal, will he work for the next
meal or work to give back the money
he borrowed for the meal?
Lokesh: Only after talking with my
father that day did i realise the
importance of a job.
Father: Then, do you have money for
food and other expenses?
Lokesh: One second pa. Pa, I have
money that can last just for a day.
Father: Ok, I’ll deposit some money in
your account.
Lokesh: Ok pa, thanks.
Father: I have to talk with you. Are you
free?
Lokesh: Tell me pa.
Father: Respect and money. Only one
of those can you expect from your
parents. In the 2 years that you took to
find a job...be happy that god has given
me the strength to give you both. But
the world we live in doesn’t share my
concern.
Lokesh: I don’t get it.
Father: You will. You know I don’t like
lies. When I find out when you or your
mother had been lying...you know how
angry I get. Today, my senior officer
asked me whether you were still
looking for a job. Caught off guard, I
lied that you got a job. When you are
not able to tell others what your son is
doing in life, you start questioning why
you had to suffer all your life for this?
The thought keeps running in my head.
I think I don’t want to say anything
more. Try to get a job as soon as
possible.
Lokesh: Pa, I’ve been preparing for it
for a week now.
Father: Ok carry on.
Lokesh: hello.
Father: what is it?
Lokesh: Pa, I’ve been selected. I got the
confirmation call just now. They’ve
asked me to join tomorrow.
Father: You have entered the next
stage in your life. Congrats.
Lokesh: I’ll convey this to ma.
Father: I’ll give her the phone. I think
she’s downstairs, one minute.

Kathir: lokesh has more practical

knowledge than me. I’m not surprised
he was selected. I should have given
my best in the interview.
“The number you have dialled is not
answering your call”
Kathir: Hey...I have no money left. Can
you transfer me some?
Lokesh: Dude, I have nothing left with
me too.

Father: Lokesh has got a job! A job in

his field. Hello cheenu! Lokesh has
joined an office! He’s reporting from
tomorrow.

Kathir: hello?
House owner: Hello. I’m the house
owner speaking. It was the two of you
who rented the house together, the
other guy pays his rent on time, what’s
stopping you. It has become a habit for
you now is it? If you want to live in a
place without paying rent then ask tour
father to build a house for you. Look, I
don’t have time to speak to you. Pay
your rent by tomorrow or else pack
your bags and leave.
Kathir: brother, can you bring a water
can to the blue house opposite to the
church.
Delivery boy: Oh that house, you are
yet to pay me for 3 cans. The owner
has told me not to give cans to people
who are yet to pay.

Kathir: Hello, who is this?

Cab driver: Your office cab driver
speaking. I’m in your location.
Lokesh: I’ll be there in 2 minutes.
Lokesh: Hi bro. I’m lokesh.
Boy in cab: new joinee? Which
department?
Lokesh: Production. You?
Boy in cab: I’m in testing.
Girl in cab: Which sector have they
allocated for you in production?
Lokesh: They are yet to confirm. They’ll
let me know when I meet them at the
office.
Girl in cab: Oh ok.

Office manager: Tell me your joinee ID.

Keep your finger print here. You’ll meet
karthick in the working area, he’ll tell
you the working details.
Lokesh: I Completed my studies in
2049. My 3 year struggle for a job has
come to an end today. Today is 5-1-
2052. “Before the year 2025, the life of
an average man was completely
different” My father always said that.
My grandfather told my father that life
before the year 1995 was completely
different. When a new generation
emerges from the death of a previous
generation the world will face a lot of
changes and destruction. One such
destruction was that of farming.
Farming land turned into buildings and
factories and no one cared how
difficult it would be for our generation.
Hydrocarbon, Methane, waste of
factories, on top of that other
government projects affect farming
directly or indirectly. In the name of
fertilizers and pesticides, chemicals
made most of our farming land
infertile. In 1995 there was 60 percent
of farming land. By 2025, that number
became 32 percent. In the next 25
years after 2025 the farming land was
reduced to only 11 percent. The
destruction of farming is the
destruction of one of our most vital
needs, our food source. From 2025 to
2040 our population growth increased
and the availability of water decreased.
We only concentrated on water, for
the first time we came across food
shortage. The price of food products
peaked. With 4000 rupees one can only
eat for a day. A meal costs at least
1500 rupees.
Lokesh: The money will get me food
only for a day. My parents send me
only 50,000 for food.
Lokesh: People bought a sack of rice
using EMI. Only when a man’s primary
needs are satisfied will he think about
his secondary need. Our primary need
is food. When people did not have
money to even buy food, most of them
couldn’t buy other things. Therefore
the price of electronics and vehicles
plummeted.
Lokesh: There was an offer in flipkart.
Lokesh: This caused automobile,
electronic and IT fields to incur huge
loses and hundreds of thousands of
employees lost their jobs. Many MNCs
decided to invest in high priced foods.
They started protecting the remaining
11 percent of farm land like a golden
goose. Since farming became a huge
business people working in the field
got high paying jobs. If one wanted to
settle in life, he must somehow be
related to the agriculture field. I have
an interview tomorrow. I’ve been
studying for that for the last one week.
Being a graduate of agricultural studies
or working in a field related to
agriculture became highly respectable
in society. Hundreds of thousands
attended interviews for those jobs.
Yesterday, i was one among them. The
world will respect us only if we have a
job. When something is destroyed, not
thinking about its effects and how it
affects the future is irresponsible. My
father and grandfather had lived in that
irresponsible world.

Kathir: My grandfather always said a

man should never be jealous. But today
I’m jealous about people having 3
meals a day.
Random guy: What profit did you make
in farming. They are asking for a good
price, sell it and get your daughter
married.

Lokesh: In this self-centred world, I

have joined a respectful job. From
today I’m G Lokesh, Assistant farmer in
production development, Future group
of companies.
Lokesh: The time when people
implored youngsters to do farming are
over. Now, youngsters long for a job in
farming.
Lokesh: A time when farmers
committed suicide will soon be over,
after that people will commit suicide
for not getting jobs in agriculture.
Narrator: No amount of sermon will
change you. The future is eager to
meet everyone who does not pay heed
to farming or its problems.
