STATE OF MISSISSIPPI
concerning Facebook, which were brought to the Court's attention at the adjournment OF
yesterday's court proceedings, and hearing no objections on the record from the Defendant nor
the State to impose this Order, the Court now finds and orders as follows:
That since the indictment of this Defendant, this case has generated extensive local social
media publicity. Such publicity may possibly continue during the course of trial and post-trial
motions.
That there is a reasonable likelihood that extrajudicial commentary by parties and/or trial
participants ofthese proceedings, including but not limited to court staff, jurors, attorneys,
attorneys' staff and/or representatives, parties, witnesses, and family members of the parties, will
undermine any future court proceedings, including but not excluding, post-trial proceedings.

Therefore, to protect the Defendant's rights, the integrity ofthe criminal judicial system,
and the rights of jurors and witnesses to be free from harassment, no named party of these

proceedings and/or trial participants of these proceedings; or family members of the parties to
these proceedings, shall post or give any comments, opinions, etc. on any social media or news
media platforms, nor shall any party and/or trial participant of these proceedings or family
