The Social Evil of Child Labour.
Ans. Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen! Today I want to talk about Chil
labour which is a serious blot on our efforts to project India as a dynamic countr
on the move. According to ILO statistics, India has perhaps the largest chil
labour force in the world which is around 16.5 million.
The root of child labour is always poverty. But it is a stark truth that withou
getting an employment these children would starve to death. Their parent
cannot afford to feed them on their own and these little children are simpl
forced to work. The fact that this social evil is inextricably intertwined with oth
common problems such as poverty, female literacy etc. in developing countrie
makes it a vicious circle. Education and economic prosperity are the only solution
against this problem. Serious measures should be taken such as providin
education for children and punishment should be ensured through legal mean
to those who violate the Child Labour Act. Special attention should be paid to th

plight of bonded child labourers. Use of mass communication such as Doordarsa

Press, Akashwani etc. and social media should be made. The Supreme Court
its historic judgement given on 10th Dec. 1996, ordered the employers to pa
20,000 each to child labourers due to disobeyance of Child Labour Lav
Awareness programmes such as street plays or counselling of the poor an

As a part of my survey, I personally visited the Canteen and also interviewed
the students and College staff to reach my findings. The College Canteen is not in
satisfactory condition in most respects. The quality of raw materials used is not of
a good standard. The fruits, vegetables and other perishables like milk are not
purchased on a daily basis. They are purchased with a gap of 2-3 days.
The Canteen is not mopped and cleaned every now and then, as should e
done. When we the Canteen, only then the cleaning staff cleaned it up.
The cooks do not wear gloves and headgear while preparing the dishes.
My recommendations would be that a surveillance team should be organised
to keep a check on all the above. The cleaning staff should be warned about
consequences of not cleaning the canteen frequently. CCTVs should be installed
to keep a proper surveillance on the cleaning and canteen staff. Proper hygiene
checks should be done on a daily basis.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Report on the general inefficiency and neglect of duty by some
members of the staff
n pursuance ofthe decision taken in the last meeting of all project officers held
on 13th March, 2017, I have examined the office atmosphere and have made
enquiries following a few complaints against some of our employees from our
esteemed patrons and customers. It is a matter of great concern for all of us that
our work efficiency has been observed to be declining. It is certainly not in the
interest of the company as well as the staff that we should be found lacking in
any sphere of work or conduct.
Keeping this in view, follouwing are ny recommendations:
9 Special attention should be paid to prompt response in case of telephone
calls as well as complaint letters.
(i) Al the employees should use polite and friendly language while dealing
with customers.
(iin) All employees should be available at their desk during designated work
hours and any absence should be notified well in advance except in case
of emergency.
iu) A committee should be made to keep a check on employees so that any
case of negligence could be detected

Ans. Good morning everyone! My name is

Sophia. Today I am standing in
front of you all to speak about the lack of infrastructure for the differently abled
neople in the city. The population of disabled people in general is about 15% of
the world population. Disabeld or differently abled people arepeople with
limited mobility, activity limitations or hearing or vision impairment. Lack of
adequate disabled friendly facilities has acted as a bigger roadblock preventing
them to make contribution to society. A lot needs to be done with regards to
revamping public infrastructure like foot bridges, trains, buses and offices to
make them accessible to disabled people thus guaranteeing them a comfortable
lifestyle. In our city there is no provision of public spaces having braille symbols
and auditory signals in elevators. There are no toilets with grab bars, no audio
announcement system at traffic signals, wheelchair facilities, graphic signage
installation of ramps, etc. According to national building code, it is mandatoryy
tor all the public places, not only airports and railway stations, to provide
accessibility for disabled people. Encroached spaces, raised curbs and bumpy pave-
ments are some hurdles in the city which restrict people's mobility on the streets.
Persons who are differently abled depend on special devices designed to
augment, maintain or enhance their functional capabilities. Inclusion of such
infrastructure is one positive step towards helping these
technologies in public
people lead an independent life. and the questions that follow:

Subject: Report on NCC Troop in Republic Day Celebrations
By: ABC, Convener of NCC unit
The NCC unit of our college participated in the Republic Day Celebrations held
on 26th Jan., 2018. I am happy to report that our college troop was among the best
160 cadets selected from 10 NCC groups across the country. As part of the
Republic Day Celebrations, our college NCC cadets attended an intense schedule
over one month participating in a number of activities like cultural and national
Integration Awareness Programmes and Institutional Training Competitions. The
celebrations were a prestigious event for our cadets as they got the opportunity
to meet the honourable President, Prime Minister and other top dignitaries,
including chiefs of the armed forces. Marching to the tune of 'Kadam kadant
badhaye jaa', played by the National Cadet Corps band led by Cadet Vishal
Verma, the NCC contingent walked through Rajpath saluting the dignitary dias.
This year has been special for our college NCC troop in other ways also as a n
exclusive NCC girls contingent of our college successfully scaled the Mount
Everest in May. Our college NCC troop also carried out Cleanliness drives and
Safe sanitation awareness campaigns under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. As part of
the campaign, a Swachhta Pakhuwada at pan ndia level was conducted andNCC
contribution during the Pakhwada was appreciated at National Level. It must be
mentioned that the major achievements of the NCC have been towards Nation
Building, Social Awareness Campaigns, Community Development, Environment
Protection and Sports and Adventure.
