Shah Suri Sarai is in half-cylindrical solid shape. It was made up of ‘Lahori Brick’ which was prominent
during the Sher Shah Suri and Humayun’s reign in the Mughal dynasty. It’s one building complex with three
arches in front. And on the backside of the site, there is a water tap attached to the site and an extended wall
which is making washroom kind of structure. And on the left side, there is an Automobile repairing shop
which has mostly covered the left side of the structure with a plastic cloth. It’s doesn’t have any decorative
features that remain. This structure is very close to the GT Road.

11. Condition Description (Describe the condition of the property in terms of defects like lost patches of
plaster, loose brickwork, dampness issues, structural problems like cracks, collapsed parts, addition and
alterations, past repairs. Also mention the location of these problems/ alterations in the property) Plaster has
fallen down from the site and in some parts, the exterior part of the brick has also fallen down and most of the
places bricks are very loose. Vegetation has grown on the upper part of the Sarai. The front structure has
mostly been lost in history now, we can only see the arches part now which is inside the structure, only the left
side exterior wall is remaining through that we can imagine the structure would have exterior wall too.
Ground-level now has raised a lot, the lower part of the structure is underground and it’s very evident. The
back part of the structure is use to keep garbage and on the roof, there is a water tank and tap attached to the
tank to provide water washroom purposes.
