DECISION OF GETTING ADMISSION IN UNIVERSITY:

1) Identifying a problem :
I am an Icom student for me there was two choices to peruse my interest further, first to get
admission in any business university and enrolled myself in business administration program
second, to take admission in an institute and to do certification in any accounting course.

2) Identifying decision criteria:

After a thorough consideration I decided to take admission in university as university has many
extracurricular activity also BBA has so much diversity I would enjoy studying BUSINESS
administration

3)Allocating weights to the criteria:

I weighted the items of both the university and institute like how many times there is a job fair or
a career boosting sessions or sports, picnic and MUN.

4)Developing alternatives:
After deciding to get admission in university I develop close alternatives with respect to my
particular program like IQRA UNIVERSITY, INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS AND
MANAGEMENT and KARACHI UNIVERSITY.

5)Analyzing alternatives
By analyzing the alternatives I come to know that IQRA UNIVERSITY ranks first in business
studies and IOBM is bit unaffordable for me and KU requires very high merit.

6)Selecting an alternative:
I choose the best suitable alternative with respect to my degree program that is IQRA
UNIVERSITY.

7)Implementing the alternative:

I took my decision into action, start preparing for aptitude test and also starts arrangement of
money to pay the semester fee.

8)Evaluating decision effectiveness:

At last I got admission, my decision turns to be a right decision as the university provide all the
resources that I want.

Conclusion:
I totally rely on external sources for making my above decision also my made the decision in
linear thinking style by considering all the pops and corn.

DECISION OF BUYING A PET:

1) Identifying a problem:
My all friends have pet so I decided to buy one as they are your loyal and only sincere friend
when you are alone and of course they love you loads. I decided to buy a cat

2) Identifying decision criteria:

I identify my decision criteria as my cat should be cute, fluffy and with green eyes.

3) Allocating weights to the criteria:

I allocate weights as 1) Fluffy 2) cute 3) green-eyed

4) Developing Alternatives:
My alternatives available for me was a Persian cat, a street cat or a cross Persian cat.

5) Analyzing alternatives:
I analyze all the three alternatives and come to know that Persian cat is fluffy and cute and also
available in green colored eyes and street cats are also very cute but not fluffy and cross Persians
are also suitable.

6) Selecting an alternative:
After analyzing I select Persian cat as it full fill my decision criteria.

7) Implementing alternative:
I bought the cat and luckily it’s very cute fluffy and with green colored eye.

8) Evaluating decision effectiveness:

I decision turn absolute right and hundred percent effective.

Conclusion:
I totally relay on internal sources in above decision making process and I took non-linear
thinking style.

DECISION OF STARTING A NEW JOB:

1) Identifying a problem:
I had two months free after the completion of intermediate so I decided to do some job to utilize
my time productively.

2) Identifying decision criteria:

I identified my decision criteria as to do a job of 5 hours, a job which is near to my house and
which has good salary package

3) Allocating weights to the criteria:.

I allocates the weights as 1) near to my house 2) 5 hrs. job 3) good salary package

4) Developing alternatives:
Considering my decision criteria I decided to do a school job and I had three alternatives 1)
Karachi public school 2) Army public school 3) the smart school.

5) Analyzing alternatives:
I analyzed all the alternatives army public school was very near from my place Karachi public
school offer 5 hours volunteer job and smart school had good salary package.

6) Selecting an alternatives:
I select army public school

7) Implementing alternatives:
After selecting APS I go there and give my interview and got appointed as a typist in APS.

8) Evaluating decision effectiveness:

My decision turns to be good as it has of course satisfied my decision criteria

Conclusion:
I relied on external sources for making the above decision and adopted linear
thinking style.
