 All PAUT calibration block is ready.

 All reports sign by level 3 and old once are corrected as instructed by you (as reviewed to data
reviewed by level 3)
 During the calibration on Notch block we observed that we get huge dB variations compared to
S.D.H.

As per ASME sec V Article 4 T-434.1.

An alternative reflector(s) may be used provided
That the alternative reflector(s) produces a sensitivity
Equal to or greater than the specified reflector(s) (e.g.,
Side-drilled holes in lieu of notches, flat bottom holes in
Lieu of side-drilled holes).

Example:

Material: CS
Thickness: 31.75 mm (notch block)
40.00 mm (S.D.H block)

Reflector: 3.17 mm (For Notch)

3.00 mm (For S.D.H)

 For 80% of F.S.H we get 23dB on Notch Block on same setup when we Pick S.D.H we got 40%
F.S.H.(6dB Variations)
 When we used Our Old Setup Which we used Before (S.D.H Reflector) we get notch Refection
150% to 160% F.S.H.

 Kumar Samy is Already Involved in PAUT activities during the calibration time he also observed
the same.

 As per your Instruction when we start RESCAN 190 Joints. He insist us Don’t Do RESCAN.
Because when we already did some Rescan he Observed Differences Between old data
Compared to New Data.

 Kumar select 7 various Block for the comparison.

Mostly Difference between CS, P11 & P22

1) 19 mm thk (CS) (2.5 mm Ø)

2) 17 mm thk (P11) (2.5 mm Ø)
3) 40 mm thk (CS) (3.0 mm Ø)
4) 55 mm thk (P22) (5.0 mm Ø)
5) 28.57 mm thk (CS) (2.85 mm Depth) NOTCH BLOCK
6) 31.75 mm thk (P11) (3.18 mm Depth) NOTCH BLOCK
7) 28.57 mm thk (P22) (2.85 mm Depth) NOTCH BLOCK
