To find the mode of the data set, we can use 2 ways:
Way #1: We can write the data values (if they are numbers) in order from least to greatest and count
how each value appears.
Way #2: We can use a frequency table to record the number of times each value occur.

3.Examples
Find the mode of the data set 2,5,7,3,8,5,8,2,4,8,9
A. Use way#1 to find the Mode of a Data Set.
Step 1: Put the values in order: 2,2,3,4,5,5,7,8,8,8,9
Step 2: Count how many times each value appears:

Step 3: Choose the value which appears most: Number 8 (3 times)

B. Use way#2 to find the Mode of the data set.

Step 1: Draw a frequency table.
Step 2: Count how many times each value occurs and fill in the table.
