Project Title: SCHOOL BASED AWARENESS ON ILLEGAL DRUGS

AND PREVENTION

Problem Statement:

According to the result of 2019 National Household Survey on the

Patterns and Trends of Drug Abuse, two out of one hundred Filipinos aged
10 to 69 or around 1.67 million are current users. Drug abuse is the fuel
for many major social problems including violence, stress and child abuse.
It can lead to homelessness and worst crime.
NDEP or National Drug Education Program is comprehensive
program that provides complete system regarding drug abuse problem
that enable school system to work collaboratively. Bolbok Elementary
School is committed to develop awareness and positive behavior
regarding drug abuse.

Project Objective Statement:

Intensify anti drug abuse information among pupils and

stakeholders

Specific Objectives:

1. To develop awareness on children regarding drug abuse,

prevention and its effect on every aspect of life
2. To engage every family’s involvement in raising child’s awareness
on the effects of drugs
3. To provide learning outcomes on pupils by giving them
counselling and activities in sustaining drug abuse and awareness
programs
4. To develop collaborative effort of school and community in
promoting awareness regarding drug abuse and prevention

Here are some of the causes of drug abuse.
1. Peer pressure
2. Early exposure to drugs
3. Parental guidance
