In BANDAI NAMCO Asia Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “BNA”), besides those administrative

correspond to particular products , and each team have their own department head / general manger ,
assistant manager , chief , senior staff and junior . Above department head , there are also operation director
and director from HQ.

being managed by one supervisor and the command chain being large. We can see that the structure of
BNA is a clear layer with obvious lines of responsibility . The power is mainly centralized on the top levels.
The organization adopt tall structure

2. Differences between management and leadership

Management and leadership are terms that are frequently used interchangeably and often considered
overlapping concept. They may have some similarities but they also have distinct meaning . We always say
“Business management “ but we seldom , even never, say “Business leadership”, so what is Leadership ?
What or how leadership take part in an organization ?

Leadership is the action of leading people in organization towards achieving organizational goals . A
leader leads the future direction of the organization , inspire and motivate employees . Leadership is
defined as the potential to influence and guide the group efforts towards the accomplishment of the business goals.

Management is the process of guiding development, maintenance, and allocation of company

resources to attain business goals. Managers are the people in the organization who be
responsible for developing and carrying out the management process. The four key functions of
managers are planning , organize , perform and evaluate.

Leadership differs from management in a sense that:

 Manager is someone who does things right , but leader is someone who do right things.
 Manager has a short-range view (e.g: a quarter/ a finance year) but leader has a long-range
perspective(e.g further direction of the company )
 Manager keeps an eye on his bottom line, but leader’s is on the horizon
 Manager is a copy or following others way , but leader is an original
