(Momo gagal dalam ujiannya karena ia tidak

- We were bored because of the speech.
(Kami bosan karena pidato itu)
- People can get sick because of
germs. (Orang bisa sakit karena
kuman )

3. Due to
a. The cancellation of the game was due to heavy rain.
b. The success on business due to his hardworking.
c. Due to her arrogance, She has a few friends.
If you are doubtful as to which of these you can use, here’s a trick:
try to substitute due to with “caused by” and see if it works.
For example :
The cancellation of the game was caused by heavy rain. ( It sounds fine ) .
3. Thanks to
a. Thanks to my fitness coach, I am now much stronger and healthier.
( This sentence indicates that the speaker’s fitness coach was responsible
for his improvement. It shows that thanks to has a sincere/positive
connotation.)
(This sentence indicates that the speaker’s little brother broke the phone and
the speaker blames him for it. It shows that “thanks to" has a negative
connotation )
