why, and how.

which journalist attempts to explain the significance of the event by expounding
the how and why.

Activity 5. Create and Solve Me. Imagine that you are a student journalist in your
campus. Write five (5) possible problems that you may encounter in your job as a
student journalist in your campus. After that, write an equivalent solution for each.
Apply code of ethics in journalism.

1. Managing Time
-Set your priorities straight, work only on commitments that you can handle,
and avoid procrastination.
2. Knowing your Audience
- News is a dialogue, not simply a newspaper. It isn't enough to know how
many followers you have. Know where your followers originate from and what
material they respond to. Your audience will not be the same across all
platforms, thus it's critical to determine which readers are where.
3. Plagiarism
- You should always undertake extensive research and write your article from
the ground up. This will assist you in creating unique content. In addition, do
various plagiarism checks on the work to be sure. Most crucial, on your paper,
cite the sources of any borrowed content.
4. Engaging on Social Media
- On social media, a variety of sources are creating headlines. Consider the use
of Twitter by police and fire departments to disseminate information, which are
picked up by journalists and breaking news accounts. Influential persons, such
as celebrities, are more likely to generate headlines these days by publishing
anything on social media. It is good to obtain information from social media,
and you should do so, if you can verify it. Try live tweeting an event and then
using those tweets as notes to compose a tale at the end of the day. Facebook,
on the other hand, is a little different. Seek reader feedback and highlight key
quotes. Use Snapchat and Instagram to make readers feel like they're a part of
the narrative.
5. Stay Adaptable
- Today's digital toolkit may not be the same as tomorrow's. The key talent,
then, is a broader one: the capacity to adapt to new technologies. The capacity
to develop creative and significant ideas, critical thinking, cooperation, and
broad as well as specialized knowledge in areas of interest are all key qualities.
Make an effort to learn and practice new skills as they emerge. So, Create your
own blog article about what students should know. Then, after a few months,
rewrite it.
