IV. RATIONALE

Everyone of us plays a great role in the practice of this modern spectacle during these difficult
times. Our voices can influence everyone to remain strong amidst this malady. The world is suffering;
many people have become anxious not only of their physical health but more so of their mental health.
To be able to achieve a sound body, on should have a sound mind. And this can be achieved through
engaging in sports activities which can benefit everybody’s health.

Dance is an ideal activity for the youth that both benefit the mind and the body. But because of
the quarantine status, movement of people is limited. It is a best competition to conduct because it will
be allowed 5 – 10 performers each dance group while observing proper health protocols in the video
entries that will be sent to the organizers. Spectators and the public can watch the performance online
which will benefit them to achieve mental exercises to contribute to the totality of their well – being.

VI. OBJECTIVES

This aims to:

 To promote culture and arts of Daet, Camarines Norte;

 To strengthen their talents and skills in through dancing;
 To promote youth development in the Province of Camarines Norte;
 To feature the development of their respective barangays.
 To discover talented youth that will later represent their hometown in the different
competition.

1. This competition is open to all youth of Daet, Camarines Norte aged 15-30. Each player must
be a resident of the barangay he is representing. Each barangay must endorse and send only one
team to complete the 25- team competition.
2. Each competing group must fill up the google forms which will be posted in Facebook Page of
the Local Youth Development Office – LGU Daet.
3. Each group must have a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of ten (10) members.
4. This is a modern dance competition. Any kind of Hip-hop is allowed (Cramping, break dance,
locking, popping c-walk, etc.)
5. The following are strictly not allowed in the performance (used of real fighting armor, or any
sharp object/materials, fire, breaking of glass, pots etc., dancing naked/unclothed, influence of
liquor, foul words in music materials).
6. Each group will be given an allotted time, minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5
minutes. There will be a one-point deduction for every thirty (30) seconds exceeding from the
allotted time of performance. The organizer will provide official timekeeper.
7. Each participating group should perform on areas with existing projects from the Local
Government Unit of Daet during the time of Mayor Benito S. Ochoa within your
Barangays only. (Example: Bridge in Cobangbang, Concrete Road at Barangay Gubat,
Streetlight and etc.)
8. The performance shall be recorded by any camera or any medium available.
9. Any violation of the above stated guidelines is subject for disqualification.
10. The performance will be posted at the Facebook Page of the Local Youth Development Office
11. Registration will start on February 18, 2022
12. Last day of confirmation will be on February 28, 2022. Registration form and other
requirements must be submitted through the Google Form. Participants with incomplete
requirements will not be accommodated.
13. Deadline of Submission of Entries is on March 18, 2022, 12:00 noon.

1. The Competing Dance Group will be judged according to:

CREATIVITY 30%
Choreography, Originality, Transition
MASTERY 30%
Timing and Coordination
STAGE PRESENCE 30%
Confidence, Costume, Showmanship
Social Media Heart Reaction 10%

TOTAL 100%

2. Ranking system will be used in summary results. The Board of Judges has the right to break in
case of tie.

3. The winners will receive the following prizes:

1st Place – P 10,000. 00 cash + trophy & certificate

2nd Place – P 7,000. 00 cash+ trophy & certificate
3rd Place – P 5,000. 00 cash + trophy & certificate
4th Placers (3) – P 3,000.00 cash + certificate each

Non – winners will receive certificates and consolation prize of P 1,000.00

4. The decision of the Board of Judges will be final and irrevocable.

The source of fund of the said activity will be charged from the Sports Development
Fund
