Connect the monitor with the IMAGE1 S
CONNECT ® or CONNECT II (see fig. E).
Depending on the types of connectors provided
on the monitor, this connection can be generated
using either:
• DVI-D or 3G-SDI output for IMAGE1 S
CONNECT ® TC 200
The primary working screen should be connected
to DVI1 for TC 200.
• DisplayPort, 12G/3G-SDI or DVI-D output for
IMAGE1 S CONNECT ® II TC 201
The primary working screen should be connected
to DP1 for TC 201.
NOTE: The connected monitor must
1 support a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Before connecting the devices to the electrical
supply line, check that the values on the power
sockets concur with the values on the devices’
identification plates.
1. Insert the device plug of the power cord into the
power supply cord receptacle of the IMAGE1 S
CONNECT ® (see fig. G).
2. Insert the device plug of the power cord into
the power supply cord receptacle of the
IMAGE1 S™ LINK modules (see fig. H).

The use of IMAGE1 S™ is divided into three menu
stages:
• Dashboard (see 8.2)

The keyboard and mouse can be used to navigate
the menus. A keyboard is required to enter patient
data.
All IMAGE1 FULL HD camera heads feature three
buttons for retrieving programmed functions and
for menu control:
t scroll up: Scrolls up the menus, options.
u menu/select: Displays the live menu. Once
this menu is displayed, this button activates
the highlighted option (identical to ENTER on a
computer keyboard).
z scroll down: Scrolls down the menus, options.

S technologies
CLARA
With this mode, a specially optimized algorithm
reduces disruptive shadows and ensures more
even brightness perception of the endoscopic
image.
CHROMA
This mode improves the perception of fine
structures via contrast enhancements,
particularly in the red area. The original colors
are retained, the color intensity is changed.
SPECTRA A/B*
These modes are based on color inversion.
The result is a false color image with enhanced
contrast.
Fiber Filters
The digital fiberscope filter (anti-moiré/anti-grid
filter) can be set to two levels (A, B).
With this new electronic filter, interfering
artifacts, such as the moiré effect and display of
the fiberscope grid, are reduced.
If the honeycombed grid structures are relatively
small in the image, Filter A is recommended.
Filter B is particularly recommended in the case
of larger honeycomb structures, for example,
through the use of an optical zoom.
NOTE: The S technologies are only available
1 with compatible camera heads and video
endoscopes (see chapter 12).

OPAL1® *
The settings for the fluorescence imaging (FI)
mode can be selected here.
NOTE: In order to activate OPAL1®, the
1 light sources and camera head intended
for the same FI mode must be connected.

FI Application: None or PDD or ICG (submenu
depends on connected equipment)
FI Switch: Color or White Light
FI Intensity: adjustable in 3 steps (only available
for setting PDD). Maximizing the setting will
increase the ability to gather light, but also
increase the live image delay.
You can exit the live menu here. Alternatively,
you can exit the menu by clicking the ‘ESC’
button on the keyboard or IMAGE1 PILOT
(TC 014) right side button.
Here you can activate White Balance.
NOTE: Perform a white balance before
1 every use.
The light source settings can be displayed and
changed here. The light source can be switched
on and off, and the mode and light intensity can
be set.
NOTE: Control of the light source is
1 deactivated if more than one light source
and/or camera head/video endoscope
is simultaneously connected to the
IMAGE1 S™.
The insufflator settings are displayed here. The
gas, flow and pressure settings can be adjusted
in the menu.
