ABSTRACT

Choosing the right treatment for historic buildings and landscapes is difficult. What legal factors can
affect conservation in this scenario? Preserving historic buildings takes a lot of time to process them. There are
a few things to consider before proceeding to the actual process. The standard provides guidelines for a set of
standards based on four different ways of dealing with historical material: property preservation, hygiene,
restoration, reconstruction, a single collection, and the importance of processed assets. The current physical
state of the object, the range of documents available, and the design goals (if any). The standard is a set of
principles for protecting, restoring and protecting the environment. Comprehensive design and technical
guidance is provided by replacing old elements, adding new features, and optimizing existing service policies.
Guidance on how to apply criteria to specific properties. Preservation of the monument also requires the
structure of and the direction of action.

Laws and other legal factors can affect the preservation of historical events and buildings. These are
necessary to completely preserve historic buildings and archaeological sites. Requirements serve as the basis
for making decisions. There are many factors to consider, Continuous conservation of the environment,
including factors that can contribute. These standards and guidelines are applicable to all conditions, shapes,
sizes, and historical assets of materials. These cover both the exterior and interior of the building. Not only in
the house, but also in the elements, places and surroundings of the landscape.

INTRODUCTION

Everything that has been created by people over time constitutes our historic environment. Preserving
location and identity is a thorough and informed approach.Understanding Resources, including long-term care,
renewal, and maintenance development. One of the main purposes of legal protection we provide is the
conservation of nationally recognized or designated cultural heritage.

Our historic environment connects people to their lands by bridging natural and cultural identities. This
allows people to understand how our land has been used in the past and imagine a future that respects our
heritage in all of its diversity. There has been growing concern in recent years that the heritage will be lost. Many
cultures may become extinct as a result of climate change. As a result of this worry, many countries have enacted
legislation to protect artistic, archaeological, and cultural treasures. The law must distinguish between
immovable and mobile cultural heritage.intangible cultures, regulate their protection, and specify the obligation
to protect them countries and autonomous communities to provide complete protection heritage. responsibilities

involving the public services and other heritage conservation activities, as well as heritage owners'
responsibilities and rights It is also important to mention the technical oversight of the area.

Preservation of historic buildings is extremely important for understanding the history of our country.
Moreover, it is an eco-friendly practice. Conservation is essentially a "historic" percentage of recycling program
by reusing existing buildings. In many cases, existing buildings can be more energy efficient with good
ventilation, durable materials, and spatial conditions. Since the old building already exists, there is no energy
needed to demolish it or create new building materials, and the infrastructure may already be in place.

RELATED LITERATURE

urban structure of the ancient city facing the ruins of Alexandria, affecting the urbanity of the cause of the
historic city. The purpose is to highlight the problem of given. Matter loses its cultural essence. It is also
intended to support the development of a long-term planning framework for urban development around the
archaeological site, in order to maintain the interests of local residents and the value of cultural heritage. Finally,
to define the processes that decision makers need to carry out through urban conservation and state-of-the-art
invention design in the area surrounding the ruins to protect the soul of the city's Palimpsest. A set of criteria is
proposed.

Heritage tourism based on Ernawit and Moore’s research study (2014) on heritage tourism, the authors stated
that the history and tourism has been part of the progress of the heritage tourism to feature the ancient and
current heritage tourism. Additionally, the author Monga-Ha (2013) cited that in heritage tourism the manner and
the skills of the tourist matters because in the on-site interpretation it is not only the outcome of the site
conservancy that matters. (Colina de Monga-Ha 2013) In relation of Gültekin (2011) the term 'Heritage ' has an
attribute of cultural value which is known much beyond its monetary value. Furthermore, cultural tourism has an
objective to develop a specific city a regions which is classified by cultural resources into a must experience
venue for holiday vacation, residence or business.

In addition Singh, B. (2022). The word "Heritage" is getting importance since the last two decade as for as
India is concerned. It has acclaimed recognition in the Venice Charter, the text of which begins with highlighting
the relevance of heritage and the responsibility to protect it for future generations. Heritage
encompasses varied aspects. In other vocabulary, it is classified into two parts i.e., Tangible heritage and
Intangible heritage. The Tangible is one that can be touched whereas the Intangible cannot be touched. Various
Charters such as international charter for the Conservation and Restoration of Monuments and Sites, 1964
Venice Charter), International Charter for the Conservation of Historic Towns and Urban Areas But most of
these cities are changing fast due to various reasons prominent absence of legislation or poor enforcement of
legislation and other priorities of development or redevelopment. No doubt, India is a country having maximum
laws, but the problem seems of the poor enforcement. If we refer our Constitution, heritage legislation is another
area which is essential integrated component for the conservation. In addition, various legislations at the central
and state level are there, but they lack the enforcement spirit in most of the cases.
