The Framing Bias

Blanking all parts of the universe that are outside the frame. Framing becomes easily a
damaging mental bias which distorts the perception and analysis of an issue and the whole
decision making process. The framing bias gives a selective frame and simplistic picture of
reality.

1. REPRESENTATIVENESS HEURISTIC

-In which we take simplified stereotypes as a model.

• Representativeness is kinukuha natin na source information or idea as a guide to solve the

problem.

2. AVAILABILITY HEURISTICS

-Such as out first perception/interpretation of things or the memory of a recent event or data
seen as similar, but often unrelated or irrelevant that jumps into the mind.

• Ito naman ay kung ano ang nag sink in sa isip natin na maari mag bigay sa arin ng edia para
ma solve ang problem. Kung baga kung ano ang una na maiisip mo kung pano mo ma solution
ang problem.

To use narrow selective (or wrong) data, explanation, ideas and approaches about either an
issue (i.e. stressing gains or losses) or facts themselves.

• Ito yong hindi muna natin inaalam ang information kung authentic or hindi dapat kapag
humahanap tayo ng other information para hindi magulohan ang ibang tao sa information na
binahagi mo.

1. Thwart the ensuing reasoning conclusion and decision.

• Ito naman ay pabor tayo sa isang information nayan lang ang tinitignan natin hindi na natin
tinitignan ang isang idea kasi naka focus tayo sa isa.

Dapat ay pakinggan natin ang other information to know what is best solution.

2. Those flawed decision bring dubious, damaging or at least "anomalous" practical effects.

• Information na parang hindi ka sure (unsure) ka sa information na yon parang dika satisfied
so kailangan mopang kumoha ng information ot other.
