To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter in the hopes of applying for the role of Geology/Environmental Science
Intern here at Arcadis. I learned about this role on Linked In, and it caught my eye because of everything
that is being offered for this position. It would mean a lot if you would consider my application because I
believe we could make a long-lasting difference together. My name is Wyatt Orr, I enjoy working outside
and studying our great planet while trying to improve it. A job in environmental sciences has been my
dream since day one, and I’ve worked very hard in school and around my community to improve myself
in this field as well as making my community a better place. Basic Info about me, I’m 16, a junior in high
school, I have a 3.7 GPA. I’m good with my hands and I am willing to do hard work and get dirty outside
if the job calls for it.

My qualifications for this job are, I have a license so I can drive and/or operate motor vehicles,
I’m young so I have a good back and can get up and down easily. I do marching band so in the fall and
golf in the spring, so I stay in shape. I work well with people and enjoy working outside in the swamp
and mud. I have taken an Honors Chemistry and AP environmental sciences class and passed at the top
if my class. I have a stream behind my house that I test the water and soil quality often to stay fresh on
those skills. And I have worked with my APES teacher on the side going farther than most students in the
knowledge and skills I obtained in that class. After High school I hope to intern at a place such as this to
learn everything I can about working in this field, and then I hope to start my own company and start
making a difference by improving the world we live in.

In closing I would like to acknowledge my resume that lists my specific skills and
accomplishments in greater detail, and request and interview. Finally. I would like to say thank you for
your time and this opportunity to apply for a possible internship as a geology/ environmental scientist. I
hope my skills are good enough to impress you and your high valued company and would wish that you
