Hesitation
Give a speech with
the following words:
Possible answer:
decision A day is made up of hundreds of small decisions. I’ll wear this; I’ll buy this; I’ll
wear have this for lunch; I’ll go here at 3 o’clock; I’ll respond to this e-mail; I’ll delete
buy this one. For some people, none of this is a big deal. For others, however, making
lunch decisions isn’t easy. They agonize over what to do, vacillating back and forth, and
confuse second-guessing themselves even after the decision has been made. Choices are
confusing. Choices can make you anxious. They can cost you peace of mind, even
1 after you’ve made the decision. Have you ever spent hours in your head trying to
“undo” the choice you made? “Oh my gosh, I wish I hadn’t done that!”

Hesitation
Give a speech with
the following words:
Possible answer:
risk Decisiveness is about risk taking. Everyone chooses a jumping off point for
comfort committing to a decision based on their comfort level with risk versus the size of
fear the bet and their judgement of the probability of being right. It is the fear of the
success consequences of being wrong and the tendency to judge ambiguous information as
skill being insufficient to predict a "good enough" probability of success that creates
hesitation. A person with the right mix of skills, experience and risk tolerance for
2 a certain context will get on a roll of good risk taking decisions and appear to be
decisive and in control.

Hesitation
Give a speech with
the following words:
Possible answer:
insist A man cannot face the fact that his mother is terminally ill and going to die.
keep on When the son insists on dragging his mother to yet another doctor, she reminds
road him of when he was a boy and on summer Sundays, the family would take a
ruin scenic drive and stop somewhere for a picnic lunch. But every time they found
perfection a nice spot, his father kept on driving, insisting that there must be a prettier spot
farther along the road. This went on until everyone was tired and cranky, the hot
food was cold, the cold food was hot, and the picnic was ruined. Sometimes the
3 spot where you're at is the best it's going to get, and you need to quit searching
for perfection.
