a. What makes the portfolio assessment authentic?

A portfolio is evaluated and graded based on the student's understanding of the

academic discipline's principles. This assessment process is authentic because
students learn and practice how to apply important knowledge and skills to
real-world situations.
b. What is the significance of portfolio assessment in the Modular Distance
Learning Modalities?

Portfolio assessment allows students to reflect on their true performance, to

show their weak and strong domains, and to track students' progress
throughout the learning process. It also encourages students to take
responsibility for their own learning.
c. If you will handle the subject that is your specialization, would you
consider using portfolio assessment? Why or why not?

A portfolio assessment is a collection of student works related to the standards

you must learn. This body of work is frequently compiled over time to reflect
what you have been taught as well as what you have learned.
Each piece in the portfolio was chosen because it is a genuine representation of
what you have learned and is intended to demonstrate your current knowledge
and skills. A portfolio, by definition, is a storybook that documents a student's
learning progression throughout the year.
